Once you’ve created a sequence, it will continue to send emails to your subscribers on autopilot, freeing up your time to focus on other areas of your business.

How to Customize Sequences with Delays and Filters

When you send a subscriber through an email sequence in ConvertKit, you have some options to customize the user experience. 

  • Day of the week:  You can select which day or days of the week you want any email in a sequence to be delivered.  I personally exclude weekends in most cases, since my audience is most active Monday through Friday. 

 

  • Set your delay: You can chose how much time you want to pass between each email in the sequence.  That can range from immediate, to hours, to days between emails. 

 

  • Filters: You can add filters to emails within a sequence to include or exclude subscribers that meet a certain criteria.  For example, when a subsxcriber purchases one of my digital products, I have a tag assigned to that subscriber, Purchased_Product X.  If I have a 5-email sales sequence set up to sell product X, I don’t want to continue sending sales emails to subscribers who purchase product X after the first email in the sales sequence.  In that case, I would se up a filter for the rest of the emails in the sequence to exclude subscribers that are tagged “Purchased_Product X.”
