Many of us are grateful that 2020 is coming to a close. Even as it winds down during the busiest time of the year for online shops, we look ahead to planning for 2021.  What will be your focus for your e-commerce business in the next year?  How will your drive traffic and grow sales?  On which platform will you concentrate your efforts?

My recommendation is Pinterest.

While it is important to have a social media presence and strategy, it is not a reliable avenue for growth.  Pinterest is frequently included with Facebook and Instagram as social media, but it is not.  Pinterest is a search and discovery engine.  And with over 440 million monthly users, there is a large audience waiting to discover you.

In social media, you are at the mercy of an ever-changing algorithm, and can get lost in a sea of scrolling. In Pinterest, users are actually searching for ideas, inspiration and products.  With the right strategy behind your Pinterest Marketing, they will find you.

E-Commerce Success Stories

I have had the pleasure of managing Pinterest Marketing for several e-commerce shops in the past year, all of whom who have had great success.  While other online shops are struggling during this pandemic, every one of my clients has shown significant growth.

I started managing Pinterest for this organic children’s clothing company at the beginning of November.  While it often takes at least three months to see results, we have already achieved significant growth. We have almost double their engaged audience, and they have made 9.75k impressions.

This shop creates modern trendy clothes for babies, kids and adults, featuring many exclusive prints. In the past 90 days, we have grown their audience to 1.5 million, driving additional traffic directly to their website.

I have been managing Pinterest marketing for this gift shop since the summer.  They were strictly brick & mortar until the pandemic, and smartly and quickly pivoted to online.  Their success on Pinterest has been remarkable, with over 1.5 million people in their Pinterest audience in the last 90 days, and over 3 million impressions.  This has driven 13,560 visits to their website, resulting in $2860 in revenue.

Most importantly, we have attained these results completely through organic marketing.  We have not invested any money at all into paid ads in the last 90 days. You can’t get results like that in Facebook!

How can 2021 be a year of growth for your online shop? Invest in a Pinterest Strategist to see your traffic and sales driven through organic marketing.
